A small update on landscapes. Going ahead with the idea of having full control over landscape features to properly design the levels. I made some tests, not focusing on visuals, but posting some images won’t hurt. 🙂
This time, playing with the layouts of landscapes, going into finer control of peaks, recessed areas, smoother pathways for the player etc.
These first posts have all been related to terrain, but I’m working on lots of differents aspects of the game, every day. As I’m developing it alone (at least until now), I jump from art to technical aspects of the game all the time. No problem with this, because I’m as excited about the art side of things as about the inner workings of the technology behind game development.
